ST. COLUMBA, GREY LYNN.
The annual meeting of the parishioners of the St. Columba Church, Grey Lynn, was held last night, the vicar,'the Hev. R. H. Hobday, presiding. The report showed a satisfactory state of the various organisations, especially the Mothers Union, Sunday schools, Bible classes, and the Ladies' Guild. The treasurer's report showed a better financial position than last year, with increased revenue from collections, due largely to the envelope system, for which he. asked, wider support. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Vicar's warden, Mr. Woodall;' people's warden, Mr. Harris; vestry, Messrs. Bishoprick, Harden, Hiscock, Robieson, Taylor and Mrs. Watson, with others to be added from the St. Cuthbert's sub-district. Details of the new proposed church were discussed; it is hoped to make a start with it in the near future. Refreshments were provided by ladies of the Mothers' Union.
