The president (Mr. C. A. All present warmly endorsed the remarks. Mr. Carlaw said he was both surprised and delighted when informed of his election and said he would remain in the game, the progress of which he was so proud, as long as he was physically able to do so. (Applause.) The re-election of Messrs. 0. E. Carlaw (secretary) and Nelson Culpan (treasurer) was confirmed, reference being mad© to their efficient work. Nominations are to be invited immediately from South Island Leagues with a view to the appointment of the three selectors of the South Island team for the Possibles v. Probables match, to be played at Christchurch, the question of the appointment of the manager of the South Island side being deferred.
