FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. MOUNT LYELLS WEAK. ; COMMERCIALS FALL LOWER. _ Business on the local Exchange continues fairly active but" values are irregular, and market adjustments are still being made, usually with a downward trend. Commercial Banks continue to droop, and fit this morning's call they were offered at £1 1/1, with £1 Q/'j the best buyer. 'Xhe recent weakness of Mount was reflected in a sale at £1 8/3, 3/9 less than the last transaction just before Easter. Buyers came forward this morning for Electro. Zincs, but with reduced limits, £ L 2/6 being offered for the ordinaries--and £14/6 for the prefs. , farmers' Trading eassd a fraction, with holders offering to sell the ordinaries at 8/5. . ■■...• ) Devonport Steam show further weakness, with a sale at £1 1/G. The Noon Call. After a quiet morning only two sales •were recorded at the noon call. One of Bank of New South Wales was the result of the buyer advancing on recent limits, but was still 10/ below the last sale a fortnight", since.- Commercials weakened further, with buyers dropping to £1 0/(5. .Northern Steam were a little firmer, with buyers at 14/, while Hayward's Pictures were offered at 14/6.
