Mr. F. T. Jones, of Sydney, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. H. Holland, M.P. for Christchurch North, is at the Star Hotel. Sir Apirana Ngata, Minister of Native Affairs, is at the Star Hotel. Mr. R. Telford (Wellington) is at Hotel Cargen. Mr. D. Ardell, of the Department of Internal Affairs, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. J. R. Fow, Mayor of Hamilton, and the Rev. H. G. Gilbert, have left Hamilton for a week's motor tour of the East Coast. Among the gucts at the Royal Hotel are Miss T. Field Armitage and Mr. A. R. Smith (Wellington), Mrs. W. H. Frye and Mies Kemp (Hamilton) and Mr. T. Somerville (Tc Kuiti). Professor A. P. W. Thomas has been re-elected chairman of the Auckland Grammar School Board. Mr. W. Ward Baker has been elected vice-chairman in place of Dr. E. Roberton, who has left on a holiday trip to Europe. New arrivals at the Central Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. R. Cobbe (Hamilton), Mr. and Mrs. B. Taylor (Gisborne), Mr. W. Price (Thames) and Mr. A. M. Smith (Napier). Recent arrivals at tlie Star Hotel include Mr. L. Tollemache (Tauranga), Mr. H. Balncairs (Wellington), Mr. H. Wakolin (Whangarei) and Mr. W. Grounds (Hokianga).
