REFORM CAMPAIGN.
SUPPORT FOR MR. ENDEAN. SPEECHES BY TWO MEMBERS. Mr. W. P. Endean continued his campaign at the Remuera Library Hall last evening. Mr. S. W. W. Tong presided. On the platform were Mr. R. A Wright, Reform member for Wellington Suburbs, and Mr. A. M. Samuel, Reform member for Thames. Mr. Endean's speech was on the lines of previous addresses. He referred to the Labour party, and stated that its policy would stifle private enterpnse. Labour aimed at a combination of the workers of the Empire to l ove^ l n u A capital. Out of approximately 400,000 workers in New Zealand, only about half voted for the Labour party, so he could not see that Labour was the great power it professed to be. lhe Lnited party had not altered the land laws to any' extent, except in regard to rural intermediate credits. The Reform party prepared a group settlement scheme 111 1928 but had not had the opportunity of placing it on the Statute Book. Mr Wright made a short speech. He expressed regret that Sir Joseph Ward was not well enough to take part in th Mi- ai Samuei appealed to the electors to be guided by their heads and not their hearts, and to place Mr. Endean at the head of the pollOn the motion of Mr. J. Collin., seconded by Mr. J. Stratham, a vote of thanks and confidence was carried.
