BOXING.
SARRON'S INJURED HAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Mr, G. P. Aldridge, secretary of the -New Zealand .Boxing Council, has received overtures troin Otago and Auckland, botli ottering to stage a match between Donovan and barron. The former lias promised to box in Dunediit> Sarron intends to have his left hand, which has been giving him trouble ever since his contest witu Leckie at Wellington, medically examined, and if the verdict is unfavourable, he will leave immediately on his return to the United States, li medical opinion declares his hand lit to stand boxing, Sarron will be quite willing to meet Donovan again.
Sarron does not put this forward as an. excuse lor his defeat on fciaturday, but it is known that the doctor's order after the light with Leckie- was that he waa not to use the injured left hand again for at least three months.
