NECK CUT BY HOOK.

: FLAX-CUTTER KILLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FOXTON, this day. Albert Acourt, bax-cutter for Whitaunui Ltd., was working in a swamp yesterdav when his flax hook slipped from his hand and the blade struck the back of his neck, inflicting a wound three inches deep and cutting through the main vessels. He was attended by a doctor and taken to Palferston North Hospital, where he died early this morn ing. He was an man.
