PREPARATION OF REPORT. LEGISLATION NEXT SESSION. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. ' Having completed its: Dominion-wide tour of schools in preparation,for.a report to the Government on existing conditions, so. tha't the Minister of Education might have full scope fipr his declared intention of "bringing education more into relation . with human, needs," the Parliamentary Committee appointed at the-close of last session is now writing its report. . V ,'
As the committee functioned under the direction,of thejMinister of Education, its conclusions will go straight on to the Government as they are made, and will not have to await printing,-cir-culation, or the procedure of going before assembled Parliament. - This will make possible expedition in dealing with' the points raised, and should facilitate very greatly the preparation of .an Education Amendment Act.'for. next session.
