LITTLE THEATRE SUCCESS.
CASH BALANCE INCREASES.
Although ' most forme of amateur theatrical enterprise have declined during the past year, the Little Theatre Society continues to flourish, and. ite revenue has increased. A balance-sheet presented! at the annual meeting last evening showed that the society's net balance,' in the form of cash in the bank; was £523.
• Mr. L. P. Leary, the president, in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, said the accumulated fund when the year began was £370, and a net return of £185 had been secured from four productions held during the year. A sum of .£3OO 'had .been raised at a special performance in aid of the- earthquake fund,,-and this'had been sent to the relief committee.
Special reference was made 'by Mr. Leary to the valuable work of the producer and.. secretary, and, he said tlie ■seciety. received much assistance from a large number of voluntary workers. ,• , : .. ;
