MAJESTIC THEATRE. Broadway's own revue romance, "Glorifying the American.Girl," conies to the Majestic Theatre to-morrow. There are tableaux in colour in some of the sequences, while the entertainment provided by Eddie Cantor is said to be far above the ordinary. The colour work 'and spectacular effects are regarded as splendid, Cantor's brilliant sketch being one of the film's strong points. Mary Eaton, a dazzling star of the Ziegfeld Follies, has the leading'role. The film shows how girls .from towns and sidewalks become stars of the Great White Way. It shows how the Ziegfeld beauties dress and love and win millionaire husbands. . Ziegfeld himself reveals the [ secrets of his great show. There are [lavish settings; beautiful girls- are paraded before the audience; there are wonderful dancing ensembles, and interwoven is an interesting and gripping story, excellent comedy and numbers of new songs. It is a complete Broadway spectacle, with many scenes in technicolour, with new dances and bright logue."..-'-ROXY THEATRE. "Mexican Rose," tlje 'headline attraction at the Roxy Theatre, concerns the adventures of a girl gambler. The; leading roles of a woman attempting to carry on an intrigue with two men at the same time is taken by Barbara Stanwyck." Opposite her is Sam Hardy. As a supporting feature there is being screened the motion picture version of the. boxing match between Sarron and Donovan. .1 a . HIS MAJESTY'S. Tuneful melodies, humorous inter: ludee and clever dances make the musical comedy "Sunny" an attractive production at His Majesty's Theatre. Large attendances are being recorded nightly. Mr. Forbes and his English company have made good on this tour, and the popular prices for seats 'have attracted much favourable public comment. LITTLE THEATRE. The production of "The Man They Buried," Karen Bramson's play, to be presented by, the Auckland Little Theatre Society, at the Concert Chamber, on April 2, 3, 4, 5, is awaited with considerable interest. It is a matter of satisfaction to tlio committee that the same healthy state of membership exists, and will in all probability > in excess of last year. The presentation will be an ambitious .one, as there are twentytwo speaking parts, and eight scene».
