WHANGAHEI SINGLE SCUIXS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. Two further races have been rowed for the Reed Cup, which carries with it the single sonlls championship' of Whangarei Rowing Club.". Storey (scr) and Burfoot (lis) Contested the first, v Burfoot started badly, aiid soon lost the advantage. Burfoot continued on a very erratic course, and Storey won by four lengths. Butt (12s) and McKenzie (Ss) contested the (flr'gt. race of the second heat. Both oarsmen got away well, and the race developed into the best seen in the trials so far. It was even going for the lirst three-quarters of a mile, when McKenzie established a slight lead. They raced prow, and prow almost until tlie last, McKenzie winning by half a length., :
