To lielp the Kohianarama quota of the obstetrical fund appeal, a social afternoon was giyen; by. -Sirs; .'.Grant at her residence ;',in : Mission, ;Bay> Z Amongst those present were:; —Mesdanies Ansenne, Bramley, A. Brown, Gray, Heath, Moorej Powell, Ross, Russell,- Webb. Songs were contributed ;by Mrs. Gray and Mrs. Grant, Mrs A. BrOwn being accompanist. Afternoon tea-was; provided and a . very: pleasant and profitable afternoon was spent. ; ■§, y
. In connection with' "the obstetrical appeal, the/Heme; Bay.yPonsonby, Richmond and, West End branch' [held its second committee meeting in the Leys In. stitute Thursday afternoon, Mrs. N. A. Cooke' presiding. ?The 'members present were:—Mesdames' Aickin, 1 Brown, Dickinson, Flynn, Grace, Gaughan, Hastings Jackson, Wengdail,% Palmer, Smith,' Scott, Kiely and Phillips. Miss Phillips actpd as secretary; Apologies f orabsenceiwere received. ; The -reports handed in were pleasing, the sum of £55 being in hand. Arrangements for the bridge drive next Wednesday, March 26, 2 o'clock, in Point Erin Park kiosk, were completed, and the Westmere area re street canvassing was put in hand. It was decided to meet next Thursday, March 27, at-2 . p.m. :- *
