DARGAVILLE NEWS?

At a meeting of the Hobson Electric Board, Mr. J. A. McLean presiding, Mr. T. R. Overton was appointed engineer. A committee was set up to reduce the names of the applicants for secretary to six, and report to the next meeting. Mr. J. -A. S. Mackay gave notice that he would move at the next meeting that the name of the board be altered to North Auckland Electric Power Board. At a meeting of the Hobson County Council (Mr. V. Trounson chairman), it was decided not to link up with other counties in North Auckland with a view to employing a joint traffic inspector, as was suggested at the recent conference of counties held in Whangarei.
