STILL GOING STRONG

HAWERA, this day.

Success in beating the world's egg laying record of 344 eggs in 50 weeks has been achieved in Normanby by a Black Orpington pullet, owned by Mrs. D. Waddell,--of Waitara. Up to yesterday the hen had laid 346 eggs. It is intended to keep a record for 52 weeks in an attempt to beat the world's record of 354 eggs for this period.
