MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT.

VETERAN INJURED. , An inmate of the Veterans' Home,. Mount Roskill, Mr. William Morton, aged 79, was knocked down by a motor car driven by Mr. N. W. Tul.lman, of Favona Road, Mangere, at 7.30 last evening. Mr. Morton was crossing Queen Street, Onehunga, when the accident occurred. A taxi was summoned by the police, and lie was hurried away to the Public Hospital. His condition is reported to be serious, though he spent a good night. 'Mr. Morton is suffering from concussion. ■>
