WAIKATO NOTES.
Tenuis was enjoyed on Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. M. M. Hockin, Hamilton, when the guest of honour was Mrs. N. Eatcliffe. Those present were: Mrs G. W. Gower, Mrs. A. Beale, Mrs! B. G. Guy, Mrs. H. Gribben, Mrs E. J. Mears, Mrs. C. L. MacDiarmid, Mrs. Hoffman (Dunedin), Mrs. S. A. Graham, Mrs. A. G. Wa.dde.il, Mrs. England, Mrs. Montgomery. A bridge evening in aid of the Cambridge Golf Club was held in the Triangle Tearooms on Wednesday. Hie quests were received by Mrs. A. H. Nicoll, wife of the president. ' Those present included: Mesdames G. Middleton F. Kingsford, N. Sutherland, Mahonev, J. Fisher, W. Tod, E. E. Roberts, E. Nickle, A. N. /iman, S. Lewis, G. G. Taylor, Cowling, Haywood, Possenniski, Jennings, N. Banks, D. Lundon, Nelson, Misses Watt, Cowley, Cox, Skeet, T. Garland, Gwynneth, 0. Christophers (Gisborne), Brown, Dunne, Boyce, McCarroll, E. Taylor, M. Jackson, Christophers, Savage, Gorrie '(Auckland), Ccmper and A. Brown. The dance held in the Maungatautari Hall on Wednesday in aid of the tennis club funds was a very bright affair. The chocolate waltz was won by Miss M. Giles and her partner, Mr. B. Watson. Those present were: Mrs. Trow, Mrs. E. Feake, Mrs. Goodwin, Mrs. Corner, Miss B. Stead (Monavale), Miss M. Head, Miss D. Blair (Cambridge), Miss G. Hay, Miss R. Osborne, Miss L. Trow, Miss J. Hardy, Miss C. Griffin, Miss F. Strawbridge, Miss J. Watson, Miss J. Strawbridge, Miss M. Cooper, Miss K. Giles, Miss K. Goodwin (Monavale), Miss B. Frost, Miss T. Udy (Cambridge), Mrs. D. Giles, Miss L. Hay, Miss T. Frost and Miss M. Heath.
