TARANAKI BAND CONTESTS.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ELTHAM, this day. Following are the results of the Taranaki band contests, held at Eltham yesterday:— B Grade Quickstep.—Hawera, 1; Xew Plymouth Regimental, 2. C Grade Quickstep.—Eltham, ]: Kaponga, 2; Opunake, 3. Pipe Bands.—Eltham, 1; Stratford. 2. B Grade Selection. —Hawera, 1; New Plymouth Citizens, 2. C Grade Selection.—Eltham, 1; Patea, 2; Opunake, 3. The judge was Mr. G. Buckley, of Wanganui. The Eltham committee was congratulated by the judge and Mr. Osborne, president of fhe North Island Bands' Association, on its arrangements.
