SERIOUS CAR SMASH.

THREE MEN IS HOSPITAL. CROSSED IN" FRONT OF TRAM? (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) : WELLINGTON, this day. At a quarter to two this afternoon a serious car smash occurred in Glenmore Street, a little above the Botanical Gardens. A.light car was running to town, crossing in front of the tram, it is stated, and being thrown into the bank with great force. All three of the male occupants were injured about the head. The driver, who gave the name of A. J. Lynch, of Pirie Street, escaped the lightest but all were taken to the hospital. The other names as given are Thomson and Giles. The car was completely wrecked.
