FIRE AT REMUERA.
ONE ROOM GUTTED.
Fire gutted the sitting-room of a house at Puriri Avenue, Remuera, early this morning. The dwelling, which has five rooms, is owned by Mr. William Prahan. It was empty at the time of the outbreak. The Remuera brigade managed to confine the flames to the one room, and the only damage to the others was by smoke. The building was insured for £650 in the New Zealand Insurance Oifice.
