The King has sent the following telegram to the.French President.—"l have Earned with the deepest concern of the disastrous inundations which have desolated such, wide areas in the south *ad south-west of France, and hasten toexpress to you, Monsieur le President, , toy profound sympathy with the victims, IW4 particularly with those who have 'offered bereavement through the .deplorable loss of life fc'hich this canity has caused."
