SIMON COMMISSION.
REPORT SOON AFTER EASTER,, (British Official Wireless.) ;. RUGBY, March' 4.; The Secretary of State for India, Mr. Wedgwood Benh, stated in the House of Commons yesterday that Sir John Simon, chairman of the Indian Statutory Commission, had informed him that the Commission hoped to submit its report soon after Easter. No time was being wasted, but the work was so laborious and the range of subjects so large that, it was not possible to make a definite statement at present. Arrangements were being made f6r the simultaneous of the report in India and in Britain.. . Asked whether he ,was considering an extension . of the present scheme of Indianising eight units of the.
