The final events of the Nqw Zealand professional golf tourney were played to-day. Rain overnight had softened the fairways and greens, but the weather - wast ideal. . , A, J- Shaw won the championship by a very safe margin. After a morning ' rouM of 73 his position was unassailable, In the afternoon ho went out in a brilliant 32, but took 40 on the return.: Tho best aggregates for the championshin' were;— Shaw, 08, 72, 73, 72, total <Ws Mcintosh, 71,' 75, 78, 78-297; Branch, 74, 74, 70,. 77-304; C. 0, elements, 74, 74, 77, 81—300; J. A. Clements, 78 76. B°> 72—300. Blair took 315, gutters 317, Forrest 321 . The third utroke handicap was won by •n J.'Strathmore, net ecore 72, »nd the fourth stroke handicap by E. W. Perry, net score 70.
