MR. A. G. STRAHAN APPOINTED

CITY TREASURER'S STAFF,

MORRINSVILLE, this day. At a special meeting of the Morrinsville Borough Council Mr. A. G. Strahan, of the Auckland city treasurer's departnient, was appointed toAvn clerk and treasurer to fill,the vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr. C. H. McKay, Avho has been town clerk for nine years.

Mr. Strahan commenced his duties in the town clerk's office, Auckland, in 1923, and was transferred to the city treasurer's department in 1927. He has been secretary of the Swanson Ranui Ratepayers and Settlers' Association for the past three years. Mr. Strahan is aged 24 years and it is understood that he will be the youngest town clerk in the Dominion.
