HIDES FALL FURTHER.
At to-day's sale of sheepskins and hides competition was poor and prices were slightly lower. Hides were in very little demand, and most Ijnes passed at prices Vsd to Id lower than last sale. » Following are to-day's quotations: Sheepskins.—Dry: Fine crossbred, 7d to 7%d per lb; half to three-quarter wool, 6d to 7d; short to half wool, 6d to 7d; quarter wool, Cd to 7d; lambs', 5d to 7%d; pelts, 4d to 7d. Salted: Best, 3/6 to 3/9 each, good, 3/ to 3/3; medium, 2/6 to 3/; poor and damaged, 6d to 1/6. Hides. —Heavy ox, 5/ad. to pel lb, medium, sVid to 6; light, 5d to 5%d; sxtra heavy .cow, 5d to 5%d; heavy, 5d to 5%d; medium, 5d to 5%d; light, 5d to 5%d; yearlings, 7d to 8d; best calf, 8d to 9%d; good, 6d to 9d; inferior and damaged, 3d to Cd.
