PUKEKOHE- POLICE COURT.

At a sitting of the Pukekohe Police Court, Messrs. J. T. Stembridge and C. K. Lawrie; J.P.'s, presiding, a young man, Arthur John-Henry Waldjng, was charged with the theft, at Drurv, on Saturday, of one wallet containing cash, cheques and .postal 'notes to a value of £33 3/8, the property of Arthur Needham. . . In asking for a remand until Wednesday, Sergeant J. T. Cowan said some of the money was found on accused, while the wallet and six cheques were found in a paddock adjoining the Drury inn. Everything had been recovered excepting 10/. The request was granted. John William Nelson, a fisherman, was convicted and fined £5 on a charge of being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car in Massey Avenue, Pukekohe, on Saturday last.
