At to-day's auctions the supply of poultry was medium and the demand was fair. The prices paid were as follow: — Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime. 5/6 to 6/6 each; cockerels, heavy 'breeds, not prime, 3/6 up; cockerels, light breeds, prime, 2/9 to 3/; cockerels, light breeds, not prime, 1/6 to 2/6; fat roosters, heavy breeds, prime, 2/6 to 2/9; fat roosters, light breeds, 1/6 to 2/; fat hens, heavy breeds, 2/6 to 3/3; fat hens, light breeds, 1/6 to 2/: pullets, heavy breeds, best, to 7/; pullets, heavy breeds, smaller, 2/3 to 3/6: pullets, light breeds, best, 5/ to 6/6; pullets, light breeds, smaller, 2/ up; drakes( young), prime, 2/6 to 3/6; drakes (young), smaller, 1/6 up; ducks (young), 3/6 to 3/9; ducks (old), 1/6 to 2/; drakes (old), 1/6 to 1/9; geese, 4/ to 5/; Turkey hens, 6/ to 7/6; • gobblers, 10/ to 12/.
