BOILER DISAPPEARS.

"RECEIVER" SENT TO GAOL.

Pleading not guilty to a charge of stealing a copper boiler valued at £2, the property of Charles Douglas Arnold, Thoma3 L. March banks, aged 40, who appeared at the Police Court to-day, admitted that he received it. Marchhanks said he was out of Auckland on a fishing expedition the day the boiler was stolen. After hearing the evidence the magistrate convicted accused, who had 23 previous convictions. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
