PLIGHT OF FARMING.

MASS MEETING IN ENGLAND. LONDON, March 2. Ten thousand farmers and farm workers, representing 25 counties, at a mass meeting at Cambridge,. passed a resolution drawing the attention of the Government to the plight of agriculture and the increase in unemployment. The meeting urged that measures be taken to assure the farmers a remunerative price for cereals and so avert a calamity in the industry.
