After a spell of three weeks the club matches were resumed on hard wickets on Saturday, and the conditions were reflected in moderately good scores allroimd. United Subur'us proved the exception, that side being disposed of by McCoy and Goodsir of the Parnell attack for 107. McCoy took five wickets for 34, and Goodsir four for 35. Parnell put on 118 for two, Anthony 58 riot out. Grafton hit up 247 against Eden in an even performance, while the Eden side., at stumps, had lost two for 53. Y.M.C.A. stayed the afternoon at the wicket against University, putting on 230 for seven, Elliott . contributing CO and Cooper 45. At North Shore the home team was dismissed for 109 runs by Ponsonby, who had 62 on for one wicket at stumps. The day's play leaves Parnell safe for another win, and Ponsonby good winning position, while the Eden : Grafton and . Y.M.C.A.-University games have not developed to the advantage of any one side.
