CANADIAN CHALLENGER

LOADING.

There are many more vessels than usual in port to-day. With the arrival of the Canadian Challenger from Wellington yesterday, followed by the Cumberland from New Plymouth this morning, only one berth was left unoccupied, and this will be taken to-night The departure of the Raranga for Wellington tnis afternoon left a berth empty at Queen's wharf, while the Canadian Challenger is to be dispatched for New York this afternoon. No passenger steamer is due from Sydney tolmorrow, the Ulimaroa going to Wellington.

The Canopus is to sail for Westport at 6 p.m. to day. The Southern Cross and Korua are to go into dock on Wednesday. The Richardson steamer Awahou arrived from Gisborne this morning and berthed at the Queen's wharf. She is to sail again to-morrow afternoon. NEW SCHOONER WAKA. The engines for the Northern Co.'s new auxiliary schooner Waka arrived by the Raranga, and are now being installed at the Central wharf. THE GOLDEN WEST. Now discharging Pacific Coast cargo at the Central wharf, the O. and O. Line steamer Golden West is to sail for Wellington *»d Lyttelton on Thursday. RANTITANE FOR LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s motor ship Rangitane was dispatched from Wellington on Saturday afternoon for Southampton and London. TAIEOA LEFT LIVERPOOL. For Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Tlmaru and Dunedin, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa is reported to have left Liverpool last Saturday. CORNWALL CLEARED COLON. On her homeward voyage from Auckland to, London and West of England ports, the Federal steamer Cornwall is reported to have cleared Colon last Saturday. TUTANEKAI'S MOVEMENTS. The Government steamer Tutanekai left Gisborne this morning for Auckland, calling at coastal lighthouses. She is due here about the end of the week. THE HAURAKI. To continue discharge of her general cargo from the Pacific Coast, the Union Co.'s motor ship Hauraki is to sail for Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney at 3 p.m. to-morrow. REMUERA'S SAILING. The departure of the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Remuera for Dunedin, in continuation of her voyage from London, ha 3 been postponed till noon on Wednesday. KALINGO FROM AUSTRALIA. The Union Co. announces the steamer Kalingo to load at Sydney, Newcastle and Port Stephens this month for Auckland, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Picton and Greymouth. PORT NAPIER COMING.

The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Napier was dispatched from New York on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about April 4. THE CANADIAN TRANSPORTER. Bringing general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. the Canadian National steamer Canadian Transporter is reported to have cleared Halifax last Saturday. KAIKORAI DELAYED. Trouble with the crew delayed the Union Co.'s steamer Kaikorai in port for 24 hours, and she did not sail for Newcastle until 1.30 p.m. yesterday, instead of on Saturday, as scheduled. MAHANA'S VOYAGE. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahana is reported to have reached Panama last Friday, en route from Napier to London. She sailed from Napier on February 4. THE PORT DUNEDIN. According to cabled report the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor ship Port Dunedin,' which sailed from Auckland for Halifax and London on February 5, cleared Colon last Friday. THE FERNDALE. Advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Co. that the steamer Ferndale cleared Colon last Wednesday morning In continuation of her voyage from Auckland to London. The vessel sailed from Auckland on February 6. RANGITATA AT PANAMA. Reported to have reached Panama last Friday the New Zealand Shipping Company's'motor liner Rangitata is en route from Wellington to London. She sailed from Wellington on February 8. THE PORT HARDY. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Hardy sailed from London for Wellington, Auckland and New Plymouth on Friday, according to cabled advice She is due at Wellington about April S and at Auckland a week later. MAUI POMARE SAILED. After landing passengers, mails and part cargo at the King's wharf, the Government motor ship Maul Pomare, which arrived from Apia and Niue on Saturday morning, sailed for Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon. Thence she is to return to Auckland nest Saturday, to sail for Norfolk Island the following Monday. SOMERSET'S MOVEMENTS. The Federal Line steamer Somerset, which arrived at Wellington from Fremantle last Tuesday, is to sail for Nelson, Wanganui, Napier, Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay and Auckland to-morrow to complete loading New Zealand produce for New York, Halifax (Nova Scotia), and London. She is to be dispatched from Auckland, for New York on March 26.

PORT DARWIN AT LONDON. The C. and D. Line steamer Port -Darwin is reported to have arrived at London from Lyttelton on Saturday.

ULIMAROA FOR WELLINGTON. With passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney, the Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa is due at Wellington to-morrow mom ing. She sails again tor Sydney on Friday. SLAG FROM GHENT. Reported to have cleared Panama last Friday, the motor ship Westmoor is en r-oute from Ghent with a cargo of basic slag for Auckland, where she is due about March 25. (N.Z.S. Co., agents. THE CANADIAN CRUISER. An expected arrival at Auckland on Wednesday next is the Canadian INationai steamer Canadian Cruiser, with general cargo from Halifax. She will discharge here and at Australian ports. FERNDALE DISCHARGING. At the King's wharf, the Norwegian motor ship Ferndale is unloading general cargo from New Orleans and baa J rancisco, and sulphur from Calveston, to tie agency of Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd. She is to sail on Wednesday night for Brisbane to continue discharge. RARANGA SAILS. In continuation of her voyage from Liverpool, the Shaw, Savi.ll and Albion Steamer Karanga sails early this afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. After discharge she is to load in the South for Montevideo and London. THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. For final loading for New York, Boston and Halifax, the Canadian National steamer Canadian Challenger arrived from Wellington vesterday afternoon, and berthed at the King's wharf. She is to sail for New York this afternoon. RANITIKI CLEARED PANAMA. En route from London and Southampton with passengers, mails and cargo for New Zealand, the New Zealand Shipping Company's motor ship Rangitiki is reported to have cleared Panama last Friday. She is due at Wellington on March 19 and at Auckland on March 25. ROTORUA TO LOAD. Scheduled to clear Bluff at 3.30 p.m. today, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rotorua is due at Auckland next Thursday, and will berth at the Queen's wharf to continue loading for London. From here she is to go to Wellington to fill up, sailing finally from that port on March 15. CUMBERLAND LOADING. Arriving from New Plymouth this morning, the Federal steamer Cumberland berthed at the Prince's wharf to continue loading for London and West of England ports. She is to sail on Wednesday for Napier and Wellington to fill up, and is scheduled to sail finally from the latter port on March 13. UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. The Wingatui leaves Dunedin at 4 p.m. to-day for Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. The Kaitoke left Wellington at 6 p.m. on and is due here at 9 p.m. to-day. After discharge at the Prince's wharf, she is to go to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. The Gabriella left Lyttelton at 8 p.m. on Saturday for Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland.

The Kanna is due at Greymouth on Wednesday to load for Auckland. The Kaponga, en route from Greymouth and Westport, arrived at Napier at 6 p.m. yesterdav, and is to resume her voyage to Auckland at 6 p.m. to-day. After discharge here she is to return to Greymouth to load for Auckland.

The Kaimanawa loads at Westport on Wednesday next for Napier and Auckland. The Kamona is loading at Greymouth to-day for Nap:er and Auckland. The Waimea arrived from Gisborne and Napier vesterday morning, and berthed at the King's wharf. She sails again at 3 p.m. to-morrow.

The Kaupo left Westport at 10.30 p.m. on Saturday and is due at Auckland at noon to-morrow.
