FIRM'S ANNUAL PICNIC
The staff of Messrs. Smith and Smith. Ltd., Albert Street, held a very enjoyable and successful picnic at Swanson Park on .Sunday. March 2, with an attendance of about 150 people. The arrangements were made by a capable committee, and following arc the results of the sports programme :— Tiny tots : Girls, Betty Donald 1, Betty Cross 2: boys, Lance .Bedford 1. C. Mansell 2. Staff handicap : Mr. Briton Smith's, gold medal, R. Calllnan ; silver medal. E.» ,T. F. Kennedy. Girls' race. 12 and under: Toey Calllnan 1, Phylis Grant 2. Boys' race. 12 and under: Lester Orr 1. Lance Bedford 2. Medley race : Mrs. Geoff Plant 1, Miss Edland 2. Staff championship cup : R. Callinan. Young ladies' handicap : Miss Kennan 1. Miss Bedford 2. Married men's handicap: W. Donald l. G. Plant 2. Married ladles' handicap: Mrs. Mnlnm 1. Mrs. Geoff Plant 2. Ee!ay (departmental •diield) : Glass department. Open handicap: B. Friend 1. D. Cnlliuan 2. CommUt°e men's race : \V. Donald 1, F.
