MOTORIST GETS DAMAGES.

. The claim of . William John Harvey, manufacturing chemist (Mr. J. F. W. Dick§ou) for £500 general damages and £32 18/ special damages against William James Buttermpre (Mr. E. H. North - croft) was concluded in the Supreme Court before .Mr. Justice Herdman" yesterday afternoon, when the jury awarded the full amount of special damages,which included enumerated medical expenses, the cost of factory help and motor car. repairs, and the sum of £75 in general damages. Costs were allowed. The case was a sequel to an accident cm. Christmas Day, when the plaintiff's car, which was stationary in King Street, Kingsland, was run into from the rear by a .car driven by defendant. The latter admitted liability, and theCourt was asked to assess the damages. The proceedings largely revolved upon whether plaintiff suffered hernia as a result of the violent bump while seated in his car. ) \ \_ "A ;\c P®ttit,- Dr. .W. H. Horton and ; Di:. ,S r .A.
