VALEDICTORY.

Two well-known Point Chevalier families will be farewelled at a social to be held in the Hallyburton-Johnstone Sports Hall on Wednesday evening. Mr. H. Mattson, who has been in Point Chevalier for over 30 years, and Mrs. Mattson, are leaving to take up their residence at Buckland, on February 26. Mr. and Mrs. R. Alexander are leaving at the end of this month on an extended tour of Great Britain and the Continent.
