CANCER RESEARCH CAMPAIGN

RAISING THE FUNDS,

(To the Editor.)

As one keenly interested in this campaign, I was greatly disappointed at the Town Hall meeting on Thursday evening. Apart from Mr. T§ J. W. Shaw's inspiring address, the proceedings f rcflectcd 110 credit on those concerned in tie initiation of a campaign of such importance Dr. Elliott emphasised the necessity of enlist' ing the sympathies of every citizen. I suggest to the committee that they approach tile churches of the province if they wish to find the quickest route to their goal. In the matter of raising money or finding voluntary workers they will find a much more likely field anions the churches than they had in the depressing environment of the concert chamber. ° W. LAWSON MARSH.
