Fleming, who ran well, judged the race quickly and ran Into second place and drew away In !the straight. Won by five yards, a , similar distance between second and third. Evans (Talhape) showed up prominently at the start, and Peltzer, who was last, covered . the first quarter In 545. He was running ; easily and had no difficulty in overhaul!™? the leaders over the last 150 yds, and won [j easing up. Evans was fourth.
