Arnold Rothstein, tha notorious Broadway gambler, whose murder a year ago after a card party in New York has never been solved, left estate valued at about £ 502,600. Following the murder the heirs to the estate succeeded in getting a deathbed will declared void. The heirs then stated that Rothstein had lent huge sums of money to high public officials," and an investigation disclosed that a magistrate had obtained a loan from Rothstein, George McManus was acquitted of the murder early in December after a long trial.
