ALLEGED THEFT.

CHARGE AGAINST YOUNG MAN REMAND GRANTED. Robert Henry Heaslip (26), a farm labourer, was • charged at the Police Court this morning before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., with failing to account for ■ £28 10/, belonging to David Zohu. Chief .Detective A. Hammond asked for a remand to February 15. This was granted! 'T think that the accused is admitting the offences and probably he will be tried at Huntly," said Mr. Hammond. "Do" you want bail?" the accused was' asked. "Oh, I don't know," he casually replied.' "Well, it's your concern," said the chief detective. After accused had gone from the dock bail of £100 was arranged.
