PROBLEM OF UNEMPLOYMENT MORE LAND SETTLEMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.). DANNEVIRKE, this day. Speaking at the opening of the new dairy factory at Kiritaki, the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public- Works, (briefly referred to the subject of unemployment. He said as he travelled round the Dominion and saw large tracts of ' country unproductive he .-was convinced , that here -was a solution to the problem if people desired to work. j There were large tracts, of: country \ inot properly developed, the Minister | eaid, "which could be brought'into profit. < They had to make their land produce more and this could only be done by in* t tensive cultivation.
