CLEVEDON SHOW.
PROSPEROUS DISTRICT, i FINE display of stock, HUNTERS OUTSTANDING. : Lying on tho rich flats between tlia Otau Ranges and the Brookby Hills lh 9 Clevedon showground presented an ' attractive picture to-day at the opening ; of the 21st annual show. Motor cars s and quite a number of horse-drawn velii. , <rtes brought people from all surrounding ' districts, and there were indications ot 1 a record attendance. , ' Clevedon is noted for horses, and in . this respect the exhibition in all classes was outstanding. There were many fine hacks, and a record number of liunter* . including some of the best in -the Auck' land district. Jerseys, Shorthorns and Ayrshires were prominent anions the pedigree cattle, and Roniney Marsh and English Leicesters were good sheep classes. Great interest was taken in the ring events.
