TOURNAMENT FINAL PLAYED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. The heavy rain which fell on Saturday morning somewhat delayed the commencement of play, but the slight breeze which sprang up after the rain ceased soon dried the green, aud with an extra rolling made it in fine playing order. Tin: holders of the Memorial Badges, Mutton, Lloyd, and Cameron, easily retained the trophies against Fearni , , Rhodes, Murray aud Gordon, the challengers, gaining a substantial lead early in the game, ami running out the winners with ti good margin in their favour. During the afternoon the president addressed the members on the proposal to play an iuter-eVub mate!; with Morrinsville next Saturday, when tiib club would also be playing for the GoldtiukU Stars, with the result that a large number of members put their names down to make the trip.
The results of the afternoon's play was as follows :—Mutton, Lloyd, Johns, Cameron 27, beat Fearne, Rhodes. M/ rray, Uordun 12; Wood, "Jackson, Whitehead, H. Conies 27, beat Chilton, Gallop, Shand, Adamson 24; Wilson, Cartwright, Buchan, T. Newman 29, beat Candy, Graham, G. Cordcs, Alexander 15; Wallace, Howe, Gooder, Clarke 20, beat Boyle, Clendon, Masefieid, Smith 17; Palmer, Orbell, DcJainore -«. beat McCullough, Long, Milliugton 19. In the other semi-final between Adamson (Thames) and Pilkington (Hamilton) even scoring was registered up to the fourteenth head. Pilkington's team then went off their game a. little, and Adamson gradually secured a good lead, the game ending ju 'lils favour by 9 up.
The final game between Clark and Adamso nwas a little one-sided. Clark gaining a four-point lead in the first five heads played, and practically maintaining that position throughout, finally winning by 3 up. A feature of the game was the splendid leading of both Graham and Wailace, -who played excellent bowls against one another. On a number of heads the leads' bowls were lying close together vritbin ' a few inches of the jack, and on one or two occasions rieht acainst it:
