SAN FRANCISCO "SHEIKS."
' GAOLED FOR MOLESTING. Caught in a police trap when they attempted to get a young girl into their automobile for the third time in a week, two men were arrested at gun point early one morning recently in San Fran-,) cisco, and taken to the city prison. They were Frank Hemmerje, 24, and Edward Ryan, 26. . The arrests.were the result of a complaint by Miss Delia Rausli, 19, pretty employee of a restaurant at Eddy and Leavenworth Streets. Miss Rausli. who lives at 835, Golden Gate Avenue, said . she would testify against the men, to "protect San Francisco girls from similar slicik attempts." Hemmerle obtained his release on bail. Patrolman Edward Talbot was assigned to the case, and when Miss Raush went to work one morning lie trailed behind her in a police car. The men failed to appear. - ' About G o'clock the next morning Miss Raush started out again, with Talbot a block behind. When the girl reached Leavenworth Street, near Golden Gate Avenue, an automobile drew up to the curb and Hemmerle and Ryan' stepped out toward her. At that moment Talbot rushed Tip, drew his pistol and arrested the pair. . I hey were booked at the city prison for vagrancy and disturbing the peace.
