COCONUT ICE.

(By Jean McGecliie, 61, Great South Road, Remucra.) ■ One cupful desiccated coconut, two cupfuls sugar, Half cupful milk. Put this into a saucepan and boil for 20 minutes, stirring lest it should stick. Next turn half of the mixture out 011 to a buttered plate; and to the other add a drop or two of cochineal till it turnsx a pretty pink. Give it another /rood stir and then pour 011 the top of the other. When it is fairly hard cut it in squares.
