CYCLISTS' DISPUTE.
UNION SECRETARY'S REPLY.
"RIDERS ARE ENTIRELY SAFE."
In reply to the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association's resolution to suspend all officials and competitors who took part in the Manukau Cycling Club's meeting on December 30, published elsewhere in this issue, Mr. J. C. Stewart, the secretary of the New Zealand Union of cyclists, writes as follows: —"As was pointed out by me a short time ago, the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club members and professionals who are concerned in the disqualification, being affiliated with the U.C.I, by medium oi the New Zealand Union of Cyclists, are entirely safe from the N.ZA.A.A. s ban. This step by the association will almost certainly lose the dispute for them. Auckland riders can rest assured of continued racing and of New Zealand championships this year."
