'' LONDON WOOL SALES. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, January 14. There are available for the wool sales on January 21 164,000 bales, of which new arrivals are: Australian 97,000, New Zealand 19,600, and held over 30,000. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated 14th instant:— Wool Sales.—The list of arrivals closed oh the 13th instant. The quantity available: Australian, 97,900 bales; Cape, 2500; South American, 2000; New Zealand, 19,600. Carried forward, 30,000 bales, _ The following vessels in which we are interested have arrived in time for the sales: Tamaroa, Remuera, Corinthic, Port Hunter, Rangitiki. We will sell on January 24, February 4, and February 10. The sales will close on February 11. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, January 15. At the Sydney wool sales to-day_ 0812 bales were sold. The market conditions were unchanged. Competition was good. Greasy Merino sold to 1 23% d. LONDON TALLOW MARKET. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated January 14:—The tallow sales have been postponed until further notice, owing to the shortage of stocks. THE PRICE OF GOLD. LONDON, January 14. Gold is quoted to-day at 84/11% per oz. DAIRY PRODUCE. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram frofn their London house, dated 14th instant: Messrs. Samuel Page and Son report:— Butter.—Prices are 2/ per. cwt lower. ,(Now, New Zealand finest, 151/ to 154/.) Cheese.—Prices are 1/ per cwt lower. (Now, New Zealand, white, 85/ to 86/; coloured, 83/ t0.84/.) CHICAGO WHEAT VALUES. (Received 10.30 a.m.) CHICAGO, January 15. Wheat for delivery in March is quoted at Chicago at $1.24 per bushel. For May delivery the rate is $1.28, and for July $1.29%.
