SWIMMING.

WINNERS AT CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. At the swimming carnival in the Tepid Baths this evening, the 100 yds junior girls' championship was won by R. Low in S3s, a Canterbury record. The women's 100 yds championship was retained by Miss J. Craig, whose time was SI 4-ss. The 220 yds breast-stroke championship was won by Hunter in 3m 20 l-ss, and the 150 yds back-stroke by L. J. Moorhouse in lm 49 l-ss. The latter time is a New Zealand record. A. T. Stokes made an attempt on the SSOvds record, and covered the distance in 6 3-5s better time, but as he was paced by two men who joined in after he had covered several lengths the time cannot be officially recognised.
