NEW TOWN HALL.

TE AROHA LOAN PROPOSAL,

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, this day.

The Te Aroha Borough Council last evening decided to ask the sanction of the local Government Loans Board for the raising of £15,500 for the erection of a Town Hall and municipal offices. The full council attended a special meeting held to consider the proposals. Mr. iKennedv said he was not in favour of it. It would cost the ratepayers £900 to £1000 annually for 36J years, less revenue receivable. On the motion of Messrs McMahon land Frith it was decided to apply for i authority.
