The going was inclined to be heavy a f ter the rain which has fallen during the last couple days. .Gold Money was the first to work, running home from the six-furlong po>t in 1-26 2-5 > , Easrcr Rose was given a similar task, which she covered easily in 1.29 1-5. Praise and Greenaway jumped off at il;e five-furlong post and ran h m:.;. in 1.6 1-5. Both did their work nicely, . Tliursby was too good for War Officer at. the conclusion of six furlongs, whii'h took 1.22. Corinax and Gnnlight got to the end of six furlcngs in 1.24. Jaloux was timed to cover a rouid in 1.47 2-5, the last six furlongs taking 1.21. He appeared to handle th? l goiug w ell. Pedestal was a ?liade in front <>f Alloy over half a mile in 56,5, and Cylinder took 58 3-5s for a similar task. Praetor ran homo from the haif-m'l» pes in 55 2-Ss. and Good Idea took 1.11 •2-5 to cover five furlongs.. Toxeuma, who went fast over the early part covcred six furlongs in 1.20-1-5. Pegaway strode over six furl, nigs 'n 1.26 4-5 Llvn Dhu, who appeared to handle the going well, ran six furlongs in I 21. Tea Time was timed to run half a mile in 555, doing it nicely. Knightlikf sprin'ed three furlongs in 40 l-5s ! The two-year-old. Dunraven, cDverod three furlongs in 39 2-ss. High Pitch ani Taneriri completed a half-mile sprint in 52 3-ss. Both lr-r?6s handled .the going in good style. Marble King went very freely ovtr t-ix furlongs, covering the distance m 11..9 1-5. Motere was a shade better Than Thurniis while running a circuit in 1.49 2-5 Mervette and Archieval ran three furlongs in 425. Avonccurt shaped better than Mnny Lu at thi end of half a mile in 5Us. Goshawk and Merry Mint were sent Mx furlongs, running the distance in 1.23. There was little between tliem at the finish. On the Sand. Prince Yal worked on the sanJ, running hal f a mile in 53 3-ss. Hakanoa and Flying Juliet were together at the completion of a round on th's track in 2.0 3-5. Star stranger, Paquito. and Shrewd were out doing pace wark on the same track. These horses look well af+ar their race. Jumpers. Pangoim (Shaft-) was schooled over four hurdles, giving a safe display, although he * did not have much pace Oil. Riding Engagements. W.
