G. Coates, who has been spending a few days in IJawke's Bay, presented the prizes at Woodford House School. With two of her daughters she returned to Auckland on her way to Dargaville. * * * * Mr. and Mrs. George Turner, Dunedin, are visiting Auckland to bid farewell to their daughter, Miss Elma Turner, M.A., and Miss Allison Scott, M.A.. who are leaving for an extended tour of England and the Continent. * * # * Miss Clara A. Palmer, M.8.E., a native of Wellington, who has been Tesiding. in Rome for many years, is revisiting the Dominion, and is at present the guest of Mrs. F. V. Waters, of Karori. For the excellent she rendered to English soldiers and sailors during the war, she was personally invested by the Prince of Wales with the M.B.E. when His Royal Highness visited that city after the signing of the Armistice. Miss Palmer, prior to her return to Rome, will spend several months in New Zealand.
