SHIPPING NEWS.

TOFUA AND ULIMAROA TO SAIL AGBAWGI DUE SUNDAY. Cargo work was resumed to-day, and most of the overseas vessels in port are trying to get away to-morrow. These include the passenger steamers Tofua and Ulimaroa, for Suva and Sydney respectively, the Maimoa for Napier, the Kalingo for Dargaville, and the Herminius for Wellington. Several overseas vessels are due at Auckland over the week-end. The Saltcrsgate from Peru and the Armadale from NeAV York expect to arrive tomorrow, followed on Sunday by the Aorangi from Vancouver, the Rangitata from London, and the Dionyssius Statliatos from Nauru Island. In continuation of her voyage from Los Angeles, the Union Company's steamer Waiotapu is to sail on Monday for Welling ton, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. TOFUA TO SAIL. For Fiji. Tonga and Samoa, the Union Co.'s passenger steamer Tofua is to be dispatched from the Prince's wharf at 11 a.m. to-morrow. THE MAIMOA. To fill up with general and refrigerated cargo for London, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Maimoa is to sail for Napier at 4 p.m. to-morrow. SALTERSGATE WITH SUGAR. To the agency of Spedding, Ltd., the steamer- Sal tens gate is due at Auckland at noon to-morrow, and will berth at Chelsea to discharge her cargo of raw sugar from Peru. THE KALINGO. The Lamb steamer Kalingo, which has been discharging Australian hardwood at the Central wharf, is to sail at noon to-morrow for Dargaville and Hokianga to load timber for Sydney. lIERMINIUS TO SAIL. To put out the remainder of her cargo of Australian hardwood, the Shaw, s.avill and Albion steamer lierminius i-3 to sail at 0.30 a.m. to-morrow for Wellington, I.yttelton and Dunedin. IRIS RETURNED. - After repairing a fault in the Welling-ton-Sydney cable about 240 miles from Wellington, the cable steamer Iris returned to Auckland this morning. Continuous rough weather delayed the work for over a week. GOLDEN CROSS DISCHARGING. Arriving from Los Angeles this afternoon, the O. and O. Line steamer Golden Cross berthed at the Central wharf to commence discharge of her cargo of lumber, case oil and general merchandise, to the agency of Henderson and Macl'arlane, Ltd. PHOSPHATE FROM NAURU. According to her wireless report, the Greek steamer Dionyssius Statliatos, with phosphate, from Nauru, will arrive at Auckland on Sunday afternoon.' She will discharge at the King's wharf to the agency of Henderson and Macl'arlane, Ltd. ULIMAROA FOR SYDNEY. Taking passengers, mails and cargo for Sydney, the Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa is announced to sail from the I'rince s wharf at 11 a.m. to-morrow. She is due at Sydney on Wednesday morning, and leaves there for Wellington on Friday. ARMADALE FROM NEW YORK. Running under charter,to the A. and A. Line, the steamer Armadale is due at Auckland from New York at 4 p.m. to-morrow. She is to. discharge the local portion of her cargo at the Queen's wharf to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Go. The remainder is for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. RANGITATA'S BERTH. A berth at the Prince's wharf has been allotted to the New' Zealand Shipping Company's motor ship Rangitata, which is due at Auckland at G p.m. on Sunday, with passengers, mails and cargo from London and Southampton. From Auckland she is to go Wellington to complete discharge. MAUNGANUI AND MARAMA. Leaving ' Sydney to-day the Union Company's passenger steamer Maunganui is due at Auckland next Tuesday morning, and sails again on lier return voyage the following Friday. For Wellington,., the Marama leaves Sydney to-day. She is duo at Wellington next Tuesday, and sails again on Friday. PASSENGERS BY ORMONDE. The Kairnnga arrived from Westport this morning and berthed at the Western wharf. After discharge, she is to lay up for overhaul. The Kaitolce arrived yesterday afternoon from Westport, via Wellington, and berthed at the Western wharf. She is to shift to Chelsea to-morrow to complete discharge, after which she returns to Westport. The Wingatui is expected to clear Lyttelton, this- afternoon for Wellington, Napier, Gisborno and Auckland. The Katoa loads at Bluff about January 6 for Auckland, via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Kurow left Bluff on Tuesday morning for Auckland, via Dunedin and Wellington. She is expected td clear Dunedin to-day an J Wellington about Wednesday next.
