CHRISTMAS BOWLING.
CENTRE'S ANNUAL TOURNEY. DAMP AND HEAVY GREENS. | • TO-DAY'S PLAY. Having successfully concluded the first three rounds of the Christmas tourney yesterday afternoon despite a misty rain that worried players in the final stages, competitors assembled again this morning on various greens and started on the fourth round. Though skies were overcast and greens heavy, bowlers were able to proceed with the tournament, and many exciting finishes were witnessed. With preliminary rounds practically half way through special attention is being directed to the games m which unbeaten teams are taking part. One of the surprises of the tournament so far was the failure of Professor Maxwell Walker and his team to win any of the first four games. In past tournaments Walker's combination has almost invariably taken a prominent place. Latest results are as follow:— SECTION A (at Epsom). Fourth Round.—E. B. "Wright (Onehunga) 22, v.
